How a diamond is judged

Every stone, read on four counts

The 4 Cs are the language of the trade. We grade against them before a stone leaves the house, so what you order is what you receive.

C

Cut

The work of Surat: proportion, symmetry and polish decide how much light returns as fire and brilliance.

Excellent → Good
C

Colour

Graded from colourless D through the near-colourless range, judged under controlled light against master stones.

Clarity

Inclusions and their position, mapped under magnification — from flawless down to slightly included.

Carat

Weight to the point, with calibrated parcels matched so a set of stones sits evenly in a single piece.

The craft

Cut and polished under our own roof

A diamond only reveals its fire in the polishing. That work happens in our own factory — not outsourced, not subcontracted.

From planning the rough for maximum yield, through bruting, blocking and brillianteering, each stone is worked by hand on our wheels until proportion, symmetry and polish return the most light. It is slow, exacting work — and it is the whole reason a Dritika stone looks the way it does.

About us

A diamond-polishing house, since 2006

Our factory opened its doors in Surat in 2006. Nearly two decades on, polishing is still all we do — and all we have ever done.

We buy rough on the international markets in Dubai and Belgium and bring it home to Surat, the city where most of the world's diamonds are cut. In our own factory, our craftsmen plan, cut and polish each stone by hand, then match parcels for jewellers and wholesalers and supply the trade directly — without the layers that usually sit between a cutter and a buyer.
